Function of Vex
Function of Vex is a nail art supply brand that’s been creating tools and supplies for nail artists that break the mold since 2022. Their pressed nail pigments, a more portable and convenient solution to the nail industry’s standard loose pigments, are a signature product that sold out multiple times.
The Ask
As part of the brand's initiative to create more sustainable products, F(Vex) wanted to create a pigment palette that wouldn't be thrown away when its contents run out. But it couldn't be any standard palette; they seeked a shape and look that would let the brand's edgy character shine.
The result
A custom-built palette that perfectly fits 16 triangular pressed pigments so nail artists can choose out of the brand’s lineup of 50+ shades to build a kit that suits their personal style.

The System
The Parallelo Palette allows for 14 trillion unique combinations when customers choose from the brand’s lineup of 50+ bestselling pigments.
Packaging
The packaging for the palette features a faint x-ray-like image showing the actual size of the palette, evoking the translucent material of the palette itself. Envelopes with support flaps held individual pigments in place for safety in transit.
